UKVIA webinar: Cracking down hard on vaping’s rogue traders

The UKVIA organised a special webinar this week to look at how the industry can hit back at the rogue traders involved in the sale of non-compliant and counterfeit vaping products.

With raids increasing across the country to seize non-compliant and counterfeit vaping products and growing media reports that disposable devices are being sold illegally to minors, the UKVIA is organising a webinar to explore how the industry can hit back and protect its hard earnt reputation which is being threatened by rogue traders along the supply chain – from unscrupulous distributors to retailers.

This webinar brought together the vaping industry, regulators and the retail market to ensure collective action against those intent on breaking the law when it comes to the sale of vape products.

The panel debate was chaired by John Dunne, Director General of the UKVIA and expert panelists included: Edward Woodall, Director of Government Relations at the Association of Convenience Stores; Damian Stevens Business Development Manager at age verification and digital ID specialists 1account,  Joanne Cook a Senior a Senior Trading Standards Officer, Craig Copeland, E-Cigarette Unit Manager at The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, and Lee Bryan, Managing Director at Arcus Compliance.
