BIRMINGHAM MANUFACTURER THE ZEUS GROUP DONATES FUNDS TO LOCAL CHARITIES IN AID OF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Award-winning Birmingham-based vaping brand, The Zeus Group, has donated over £5,500 to local charities in support of Breast Cancer Awareness; a cause close to founder Paul Curtis’ heart following his wife’s diagnosis in 2011.

The donation was raised through the sales of Zeus’ limited-edition Pink e-liquid that launched in October 2021 to help raise awareness and funds in line with Breast Cancer Awareness month. The vape juice sold out before the month end both online at www.zeusjuice.uk and in more than 500 stores across the UK, including convenience stores such as One Stop. The Zeus Group’s donation is being shared equally between University Hospitals Birmingham Charity and Birmingham St Mary’s and John Taylor Hospice both of which treated and cared for Paul’s wife Sam who sadly lost her battle with cancer in 2017.

Paul Curtis, Founder of Zeus commented: “This is a cause very close to my heart and we are happy to support these important charities in any way we can. Sam would be very proud of the team’s fundraising efforts.”

Cathryn Worth, Fundraising Manager at University Hospitals Birmingham Charity commented: “We are so grateful to Zeus for donating to the University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) Charity. The donation will be used to support our patients with breast cancer across our four hospitals – Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope. The UHB Charity supports patients over and above NHS funding from the smaller item to the large. Bringing in innovative changes to the hospitals can only be achieved with the help of people and organisations like Zeus and we are incredibly grateful for their support.”

Charlotte Dowling, Community and Corporate Fundraising Manager at The Hospice Charity Partnership, said: “Thank you so much to Zeus for raising such an amazing amount of money to support the work that we do at Birmingham St Mary’s and John Taylor Hospices; which are both part of The Hospice Charity Partnership.

“These funds mean that Zeus are helping to provide our vital services for our patients and their families. Supporting our vision of creating a future where everyone with a life-limiting illness can have the best experience of living.”

The Zeus Group is extremely passionate about helping local charities and this recent donation in the fight against breast cancer marks another step in Zeus’ ongoing commitment to supporting the community.
