UKVIA Comments on Royal College of Physician’s report “Hiding in plain sight: Treating tobacco dependency in the NHS Details”

Commenting on today’s Royal College of Physician’s report “Hiding in plain sight: Treating tobacco dependency in the NHS Details”, a spokesperson from the UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA) said:

“UKVIA welcomes the recent study from the Royal College of Physicians, which once again shows that switching to e-cigarettes, not only reduces costs for the NHS but also supports smokers on their journey to quitting.

“According to NHS England, smoking costs the NHS £2.6billion a year. Giving smokers the help they need to quit smoking while in hospital is just common sense and will help to save lives. Developing vape friendly policies for workplaces and public places represents a great opportunity for government to incentivise smokers to quit.”
