A UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA) spokeswoman said: “The results of this research only go to confirm what we at the UKVIA already knew, which is that vaping is, by far, the best aid for smokers trying to quit. Vaping is so effective, that it should play a key role in all Stop Smoking Services across the UK and the industry stands ready to assist where it can.
“The study also demonstrates how crucial it is for the Public Health community, the industry and other stakeholders to work together to get the message out there to smokers that that vaping is at least 95% less harmful than smoking as well as the most effective aid in their journey towards quitting smoking completely.”
